These terms govern your engagement with Creative Detroit Placemakers ("CDP," "we," "our," or "us") for interior design services. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
All design projects begin with a signed project agreement outlining the scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and fees. Work does not commence until a signed agreement and initial deposit are received.
Payment schedules vary by project type and scope:
All payments are due by the dates specified in your project agreement. Late payments may result in project delays.
Each service tier includes a specified number of revision rounds as outlined in your project agreement. Revisions beyond the included rounds are billed at our standard hourly rate. Substantial scope changes may require a revised agreement.
Project timelines are estimated and provided in good faith. Timelines may be affected by factors outside our control, including vendor lead times, contractor availability, material shortages, or client approval delays. We communicate proactively about any changes to agreed timelines.
To ensure project success, clients agree to:
All design concepts, drawings, mood boards, and materials created by CDP remain our intellectual property until full payment is received. Upon final payment, the client receives full rights to use the delivered design materials for the specified project.
We reserve the right to photograph completed projects for portfolio and marketing purposes, with reasonable notice to the client. Clients may opt out of this by notifying us in writing prior to project completion.
Cancellation terms are specified in each project agreement. In general, the initial deposit is non-refundable as it covers discovery and planning work. For ongoing projects, a cancellation fee may apply based on work completed to date.
Creative Detroit Placemakers is not liable for delays or damages caused by third-party contractors, vendors, or suppliers. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for our design services.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wayne County, Michigan.
